The USS Indianapolis was a United States Navy Cruiser named after the city of Indianapolis, Indiana and launched in 1931.

The Indianapolis was a Portland Class Heavy Cruiser and used in various battles across World War II. This renowned ship was also used to complete a covert operation to deliver uranium for the preparation of Little Boy, one of the first two Nuclear Weapons to be used in combat. In the same month, it was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy submarine, and sank in 12 minutes with only 316 survivors.
