An elegant example that stands apart from typical brutish Imperial engineering, the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle [aka Imperial Lambda or Imperial Transport] is a multi-purpose transport used in the Imperial Starfleet. The Galactic Empire used the shuttle during the Galactic Civil War and pressed the shuttle into service for both cargo ferrying and passenger duty. Even the Empire's elite, like Darth Vader and the Emperor Palpatine used these shuttles but they were most often used to carry stormtroopers or cargo.
The imperial shuttle has a trihedral foil design with three wings: a stationary centre foil and two articulated flanking wings. When in flight, the side wings fold out for greater stabilisation. When landing, the wings fold in, shrinking the vessel's silhouette. The well-armed vessel has two forward-facing double laser cannons, two wing-mounted double cannons, and a rear-facing double laser cannon. It is equipped with a hyper drive.
Assembling Details:
This DIY sheet to 3D model comes unassembled and can easily be made by popping pieces out from metal sheets provided and using tabs and holes to connect them.
No glue or solder will be required but using tweezers and wire cutters can help make assembling easier.
