BB-8 Metal Model Kit
BB-8, also spelled Beebee-Ate, is a BB unit astromech droid that was in operation around thirty years after the Battle of Endor. It had a dome shaped head, resembling that of the R2 series astromech droids, with the bulk of its body made up in a ball shaped figure on which the droid's head rotated.
In the Star Wars Franchise, BB-8 was majorly white, with some silver and orange on its body, and a black photoreceptor [the eye]. The droid belonged to the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron, and accompanied him during his flights on his T-70 X-wing fighter. It was prominently part of the secret mission assigned to Poe Dameron to look for Lor San Tekka after Operation: Sabre Strike.
Assembling Details
- This DIY sheet to 3D model comes unassembled and can easily be made by popping pieces out from metal sheets provided and using tabs and holes to connect them.
- No glue or solder will be required but using tweezers and wire cutters can help make assembling easier.
