The Melbourne W Class Tram is a family of electric trams built between 1923 and 1956 by the Melbourne & metropolitan Tramways Board. In total 752 trams were built. A small fleet of trams continues to operate on the tramway network of Melbourne using the City Circle tourist path. The W-class tram has become a cultural icon and the ones that are remaining in Melbourne are now classified by the National Trust of Australia.
Dated December 2021, only 13 W Class Trams remain in Melbourne and all of them are W8 Class Trams that run on the City Circle route.
Assembling Details
This DIY sheet to 3D model comes unassembled and can easily be made by popping pieces out from metal sheets provided and using tabs and holes to connect them.
No glue or solder will be required but using tweezers and wire cutters can help make assembling easier.
