Honed to Perfection
The origin of this famous sports car can be traced back to the Ford GT40 which triumphed in the renowned 24 Hour long Le Mans race with four back-to-back victories between 1966 and 1969.
Almost 50 years later, in 2015, a second generation GT was introduced, with a breakthrough and innovative design. It is based around a carbon fibre monocoque and built with a 647 hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine plus a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and an aerodynamically-honed carbon fibre body. This gives the Ford GT a top speed of 347 km/h.
A competition version of the car earned a brilliant class victory in the 2016 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
